We're excited to announce that CAI-GRIE is bringing back the Education Luncheon format for Thursday, December 9th at the Central Park in Rancho Cucamonga. Education Luncheons begin by offering Managers and Homeowner Leaders the opportunity to experience what the Business Partners have to offer in a more intimate tradeshow setting, followedby a seated lunch where the Managers, Homeowner Leaders AND Business Partners sit together to hear an education presentation.

PRESENTERS




Louie A. Brown, Jr.

CAI-CLAC

Louie A. Brown, Jr. is CAI-CLAC’s legislative advocate in Sacramento and specializes in maneuvering through California’s complex legislative and administrative process. Louie’s expertise is a true asset to CAI-CLAC, which resulted in several 2018 Legislative Accomplishments and continues to inform our legislative priorities.

Louie is a partner with KSC. He manages the firm’s Government Relations Team representing clients before the California State Legislature and various state administrative agencies.

Louie specializes in providing clients with expert advice in maneuvering through California’s complex legislative and administrative process. He testifies regularly in the Capitol before many legislative committees on behalf of clients and has written numerous laws and played key roles in many of the Legislature’s major accomplishments and budget negotiations over the last decade.



Fred Bartz

Morgan Hill HOA

Fred has served on the Morgan Hill HOA Board for fourteen+ years, and as the Board’s President for twelve+ years.  He also has served on the CAI-GRIE Legislative Support Committee for eight+ years, and has also served four years as a CLAC Delegate and one year as Chapter CLAC Liaison.  After receiving his Bachelor of Science from Michigan Technological University, Fred attended Central Michigan University where he received his MA in Industrial Management.  Later, he attended Detroit College of Law.  Before retiring most of Fred’s career was in the automotive industry, with eleven plus years in either Germany or Canada, and with his last five+ years in Germany at Mercedes-Benz.



Thomas Ware

Kulik Gottesman Siegel & Ware LLP

Tom Ware is a partner of Kulik Gottesman Siegel & Ware LLP. Since 1989, Mr. Ware’s practice has focused on the representation of nonprofit homeowners associations, their volunteer directors and officers, and HOA property managers. He has extensive experience in representing common interest developments, non-profit homeowners associations, and their volunteer directors in connection with general corporate issues, real estate matters, litigation, insurance, fidelity bond claims, and appellate matters. Mr. Ware was one of the attorneys of record for the prevailing parties in the landmark California Supreme Court case Nahrstedt v. Lakeside Village Condominium Association which established the legal framework and standards for enforcing CC&R provisions.
